How to root Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom & Install TWRP Recovery ( ZE553KL)

Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom is latest smartphone from Asus Mobiles which is launched in Feb 2017 & Become one of the popular smartphone from asus. 
This is a high-end device which comes with very powerful features as - 4GB RAM , Super AMOLED Full HD Display , 5000mAh Battery & powered with Snapdragon 625 Processor.

You must be thinking why to root this device ? 

Here are some basic advantages of root.

1. Installing Custom ROMs
After rooting your device, you can flash a custom ROM or Kernel, which means you can have a new device.

2. Remove Preinstalled System apps
Manufacturer won’t allow you to uninstall those preinstalled apps on your device. Rooting a device can make them removed easily, which ensures a high running quality.

3. Blocking Ads in Any Apps

Following method contains three major steps each step is important so do not try to skip .

Downloads/Requirements





Step 1 :- Bootloader Unlocking

  • Download Bootloader unlock Apk in your device.

  • Enable Unknown Sources from Settings>Security>Unknown Sources.
  • Install Application & launch it.
  • Unlock your bootloader by using this application.





Step 2 :- Installation of TWRP Recovery.

  • Enable Developers options from Settings>About Phone> Tap build no multiple times.
  • Enable OEM Unlock & USB Debugging from Settings>Developers Option.


  • Install ADB Fastboot Drivers to your pc.
  • Download TWRP Recovery & Extract it on Desktop.
  • Open TWRP Folder & Open Command window there by pressing Shift + Right click > open Command window here.

  • Now type following command & hit enter to reboot your device to fastboot mode.



adb reboot bootloader

  • Now your device will reboot & go to fastboot mode.
  • Now in Fastboot mode type following command to flash Recovery in your device.

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img 

  • Wait until flashing process gets complete do not interrupt process.
  • After that type "reboot" in command window to reboot your device.
  • That's it you've successfully installed TWRP Recovery.


Step 3 :- Getting Root Privileges

  • Boot into TWRP Recovery by pressing Power+Vol Up /Down.
  • Navigate recovery options with vol keys.
  • Now go to Install & Locate SuperSu zip which you copied to your internal storage.
  • Flash Supersu zip using TWRP Recovery.
  • Reboot phone as soon as process gets completed.
  • That's it....! you've successfully installed rooted your device.
  • Install Rootchecker app to verify root access.
