How to root Redmi Note 4 & Install Custom Recovery

Xiaomi release one of the best budget smartphone in 2017. Redmi note 4 is one the best hit from xiaomi note series. Redmi note 4 comes with a powerful specification as well as great customer support. Redmi note 4 provides the latest MIUI Interface with powerful ram and processor which comes with power with stability.
Currently rooting android device takes lot of steps as before because now days each & every device comes with bootloader security and those bootloader need to unlock before you make any customization in device.
Here we show you simple steps about how to root Redmi Note 4.
Rooting this device includes bootloader unlocking & installation of custom recovery.

Follow the guide carefully to avoid any issues.

Step 1 :- Unlocking bootloader.

  • Go to MI unlock site & Login with MI ID to request bootloader key. Provide the specific reason why you want to root your device.

  • Extract the Mi Unlock tool and open Mi Unlock application in your pc with administration privileges.
  • Sign in with same Mi Account which you used to request bootloader.
  • After that Mi will verify your account and your eligibility for unlocking bootloader.
  • Now boot into fastboot mode by pressing Power+Vol Down key.
  • Connect your device to pc via USB Cable.
  • Now click on Unlock Button from Mi Unlock tool.
  • Let process gets completed, Mi Unlock will unlock your bootloader.
  • After Unlocking Bootloader you will see following screen.

  • That's it you've successfully unlock your bootloader.



Step 2 :- Installing Custom Recovery.
  • Download & Extract ADB Fastboot tool in desktop.
  • Put TWRP Recovery image in ADB Fastboot folder.
  • Enable Developers Options From Settings>About phone>Tap Build No 4,5 Times.
  • Enable USB Debugging From Settings> Developers Options> USB Debugging.

  • Turn on your device and connect to PC via USB Cable.
  • Go to ADB Folder and Press Shift+Right click & click on Open Command Window Here.
  • Type Following Command to check your device responding properly or not.
adb reboot bootloader
  • If your device reboot than everything is working fine.
  • Now type following command to flash twrp recovery.

  • That's it you've successfully installed recovery.
  • Press Power+up to boot into TWRP Recovery.

Step 3:- Getting root access.

  • Boot into Recovery.
  • Select your preferred language.
  • Go to Install and locate SuperSu zip which you saved in internal storage.
  • Flash SuperSu.zip by TWRP Recovery.
  • That's it Reboot into system now.
  • You've Successfully rooted your device.
