Root Any Samsung Mobile Phone Universal method - 2016 Complete guide

There are many ways to root your android device some works some doesn’t. It’s always on you to find suitable one for your device but if you own a Samsung device then you’re lucky because I think from now you don’t need to find another method except the method I am going to show you. The popular android app developer chain fire from XDA forum has release a universal rooting method for all the Samsung android device. It’s a very easy rooting method all the required file will come in single zip file which will help you to root any Samsung android device you own without going on multiple sites. You will find all the Samsung device from Samsung galaxy ace to galaxy S6 on the released site for Samsung.


The method is pretty simple you just need to download the suitable rooting package for your device and unzip it and open Odin program which comes inside the package after that put your phone in downloading mode and just connect with computer then select the file comes with rooting package and just start that’s it. You don’t need to do anything else it’s not a rocket science I have explained the method below step by step for your convenience  and there is a video as well just follow the steps below.

There are some requirement to complete before going to root your device which is listed below and make use you read everything on the root packaging site before downloading the zip file for your device.

Requirements:-

  • You need a computer
  • USB data cable for connecting phone to computer
  • Root package for your Samsung device (link is below)
  • ODIN which comes with Root package
  • 30% charged Samsung device

Step by Step Process to Root Any Samsung Device via Odin

  • First check your model number and Android version your device running if you don’t know just check from Setting>>More>>About Device.
  • Now go to https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ and download the root package for your device.
  • For quick search just press CTRL+F and write the model number on pop up search bar.
  • If you found your root package make sure it’s android version also same as your device android version. (For example: galaxy S6 GT-i9500 on android 5.0.1 download 5.0.1 root package only)
  • Now after matching your model number and android version you can ignore other things and just click on download and download the Zip file.
  • Once the download is complete just extract the zip file.
  • You will see few files open on Odin software comes with the package.
  • Now turn off your device and put it on downloading mode by pressing and holding Volume Down button + Home button and power key.
  • You might see a warning screen now just press the Volume up key to continue.
  • So your device is now in downloading mode.
  • Now connect it with computer via USB data cable and place somewhere where it won’t disconnect in between the processes.
  • If you’re doing it for first time then your computer will automatically install the required drivers for your mobile device.
  • You will see port number in ID: COM (example:  0[COM14]) when you connect your device with computer its mean your device is connected to Odin. If you don’t see anything in the box you have to manually install the driver for your device in your computer.
  • Now in Odin click on AP and select the file you have extracted before (example: CF-Auto-Root-xxxxxx.tar.md5)
  • Then click the Start button and it will take few minutes
  • After the process is done you will see a PASS or RESET message on Odin.
  • Your phone will automatically restart after running some script which is completely normal.
  • Ok that’s it now you can disconnect the USB cable
  • If you have done everything correctly you will see an app installed in your device called SuperSU. Its mean you have successfully rooted your Samsung android device.
Note: Rooting has many benefit and one disadvantage also rooting might void your device warranty which is the only disadvantage as far as I know.
