How to root LG G5 All Variants & Install TWRP Recovery

Today we're going to provide you simple & working rooting method for your LG G5 & this method works with almost every device variants such as UK & US Version of LG G5.
Following method can be done with the help of TWRP Custom Recovery & Unlocking Bootloader So read each steps carefully to avoid unnecessary bootlopes or any software Damage.

Note:- This method will format your device so you better take full backup before you start.

Note:- Rooting your android device may void warranty to so do it on your own risk.

Downloads/ Requirements 

• LG G5  ( RS988)

• Working PC

• ADB & Fastboot Drivers

• TWRP Recovery

• SuperSU.zip (Copy this file into your device storage)

Steps:-

• Enable Developers Option from Settings>About Phone> Tap Build No. 4,5 times.

• Enable USB Debugging from Settings>Developers Options> USB Debugging.

• Download & Install Minimal ADB & Fastboot drivers to your PC Desktop.

• Download TWRP Recovery & Copy into ADB Folder which you've installed.

• Now go to the ADB Folder & Open Command window by pressing ( Shift + Right Click Open  Command window here.

• Connect your device to PC Via USB Cable.

• Type following command to reboot into bootloader.

adb reboot bootloader

• Now your device will boot into bootloader mode.

• Now type following command to flash TWRP Recovery.

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

• Now TWRP Recovery will get flashed.

• Now Turn off the device DO NOT let it boot back into android!! 

• If you do boot back into android, you will need to re-flash TWRP .

• Now Unplug your device.

• Hold power and volume down, releasing the power button for a moment when you see the LG logo, then re-pressing the button to enter recovery, on the following screen select yes both times.

• TWRP Recovery will boot up.

• You will see the TWRP splash and reach a screen asking you if you want to allow system modifications.

• By swiping right, you will trigger dm-verity, and if you don't follow step 8 you will be unable to boot!

• If you are going to root your device or follow the rest of these steps, then it is safe to swipe right and enable modifications.

• Only if you want internal storage or data to work in TWRP:

• Go to [Wipe] -> [Format Data] (not advanced wipe) -> type "yes".

• WARNING: This will wipe your internal storage, disable encryption, and factory reset your phone!

• Go to [Reboot] -> [Recovery].

• Now TWRP Will Boot Again Now go to Install & Locate SuperSu.Zip & Flash it Through Recovery.

• That's it you've successfully Rooted your LG G5.
