How to root Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus & Vibe K5


Hello, Today we re going to show you how to root Lenovo Vibe K5 & Vibe K5 Plus and Install TWRP Recovery in it. Many of users tried many methods but unfortunately non of them works correctly. so here we came with new and 100% working method of rooting these Lenovo Devices.
This method works with following Lenovo Devices.

A6020a40
A6020i36
A6020a46 - Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus

This Method includes Custom Recovery installation & with the help of TWRP Recovery we're going to root this device.


Downloads / Requirements


  • Working Windows PC.
  • Latest Lenovo USB Drivers.
  • Basic Knowledge of flashing.
Note:- Follow the tutorial carefully, we are not responsible for anything do it on your own risk.
Take backup before you start.

Steps:-

  • Enable Developers Options From Settings>About Phone>Tap build no 5,6 times.
  • Enable USB Debugging & OEM Unlock from Developers Options.
  • Now Extract Minimal ADB & Fastboot Drivers to Desktop.
  • Open minimal & fastboot folder & run py_cmd.exe as a administrator.
  • Type following Command to Check device is properly connected or not.

adb device

  • If everything is perfect it will show like following window.


  • Now type following command to reboot into Bootloader.

adb reboot bootloader

  • Now again type ( adb devices ) and press enter.
  • Now your device will go to Fastboot mode.
  • Now type following command to flash TWRP Recovery.

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

  • Screen will show various options just select Recovery from them.
  • Now you will be in recovery mode.
  • Now go to file & Select Install Tab.
  • Locate SuperSU.zip Which you saved in your Internal or External Storage.
  • Flash it Through TWRP Recovery.
  • That's it....! 
  • You've successfully installed TWRP Recovery as well as Rooted your device.
