How to Root Lenovo P2 & Install Recovery.

Lenovo P2 is one of the popular model from Lenovo mobiles which is specifically known for its battery performance. This device comes with enormous battery which is 5100mAH. Not only battery but also performance. Lenovo P2 comes with 5.5 inch Full HD display with 4GB of RAM and powered with Snapdragon 625 Processor which is more than enough to provide awesome performance.

Rooting this device will unlock hidden features of android device, Such as System app access, All rooted Application Support..etc

Note:- Rooting this device require unlock bootloader & unlocking bootloader may void your device warranty so do it on your own risk.

Requirements/Downloads :

• Lenovo Device

• Working Windows PC

• ADB & Fastboot Drivers for PC

• TWRP Recovery

• SuperSu.zip

Step 1 - Bootloader Unlocking.

• Enable Developers Options by tapping build no. from About Phone.

• Enable OEM Unlock from developers option.

• Enable USB Debugging from developers option.

Note:- Unlocking bootloader will factory reset all data.

• Once you click on OEM Unlock this will formally ask you for submitting request, when you accept the void warranty term you'll have to wait for 14 days.

• After 14 days boot your device into Fastboot mode by pressing  ( Power+Vol Down ).

• Now go to ADB Folder & Open Command window by Pressing  (Shift+ Right Click) & open command window here.

• Type following command to unlock bootlader.

fastboot oem unlock

• Now bootloader is unlocked.( This will factory reset your device to take backup )

Step 2 :- Installing TWRP Recovery.

• Type following command to flash or boot into TWRP recovery.

fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

fastboot flash boot twrp.img

• Allow system modification when you open twrp recovery.

• You can access recovery by pressing (Power+vol up).

• That's it you've successfully installed TWRP recovery.

Step 3 :- Getting Root Access.

• Boot into TWRP Recovery.

• Select your language.

• Go to Install.

• Locate SuperSu.zip which you saved in internal storage.

• Flash it using TWRP recovery.

• That's it.

• Install Root checker to verify root access.
